SOVREN, the Society Of Vintage Racing ENthusiasts, is a Seattle based non-profit racing organization with members throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Montana and British Columbia who are owners and admirers of older sports cars with racing histories. Ownership of a vintage race car is not necessary for membership.
There are five featured SOVREN racing events throughout the year. We race at Pacific Raceways in Seattle, Spokane County Raceway in Spokane and Portland International Raceway in Portland. Our biggest event of the year is the Pacific Northwest Historics held the first weekend in July benefiting Seattle Children’s Hospital. For 2016 we are celebrating Corvette racing history.
We accept period correct production cars produced through 1985, Formula Ford and Formula V, and purpose built race cars prior to 1989. Each racing weekend features a minimum of four race classes. Additional classes may be added depending on the number of entries. A typical SOVREN racing weekend offers over two and one half hours of seat time.
There are three ways to enjoy SOVREN Vintage Racing: RACE, EXPERIENCE, or PARTICIPATE. Learn more below.
Vintage racing offers the most fun cars to race and the best way to race them. Remember those wonderful cars of yesterday? Cars produced before 1985 are great to own and fun to race. Come out and race with SOVREN, the best racing group in the Northwest.
Come enjoy the sights and sounds of vintage racing during the exciting SOVREN season right here in the Pacific Northwest. Come out, see some terrific racing, and get up close with the cars and drivers right in the pits. Vintage racing is great racing!
The best view in the house is on the corners or in the paddock and up in the tower as part of SOVREN’s great volunteer officials group. Whatever your interest, timing to technical to flagging, there’s an important and fun role for you in helping to put on our great races.
