SVRA Portland Vintage Racing Festival

The SVRA has been running the traditional Portland vintage race for many years now, and they have brought new life to this event. They have added infield attractions, special guests, and more excitement and been rewarded with a 150+ car field last year. The SVRA does things a bit different from SOVREN, but not in a major way, and if your car is eligible to run with SOVREN, it will be accepted to run at the SVRA Portland race.

One of SVRA President and CEO Tony Parella’s stated goals is to add enough events and attract enough sponsors to be able to keep entry fees at a minimum, even reduce them.  He has gone a long way to achieving that goal when you realize that SVRA’s entry fees for 2021 are the same as they were in 2012 when the organization “went national.”

The SVRA has added new features to their vintage events, most notably modern Trans-Am racing which offers a remarkable contrast with vintage cars. The new series has proven popular and now another new feature has been added to each of their events.
